The Business Innovation Zone is located in the heart of QMU, on the 1st floor overlooking the 1875 restaurant.  It is home to the on-campus Business Gateway team - the only one of its kind - who partner QMU in The BIZ, a unique programme of practical business support and mentoring for enterprising staff, students and recent alumni.

We currently have over 55 start-ups in theatre and film production, healthcare, and food and drink companies. More than half are founded or co-founded by women. Many of them are award winners. Fodilicious, Quenchable and S'Wheat are all Scottish EDGE winners, and Health Design Collective was runner up in the 2018 Converge Challenge Social Enterprise Category. Our creative entrepreneurs write and produce five-star, sell-out shows and have won competitions like the Scottish Arts Club Bright Sparks Award. Find our more about our tenants.
